3.04 install on Centos 5

Stephen-71
Hi Paolo,

Have just installed 3.04 on a Centos 5 x86_64 system (either 5.0 or 5.1).

Just to let you know that all the ANSI tests failed when doing a make
check. All the other tests passed that should pass, but every single
ANSI test failed.

Regards
Stephen

Can you send one of the testsuite.dir/XYZ/testsuite.log files, and the
output for "make check 2>&1"?  Thanks (I cannot reproduce it here, both
releases were tested on i686-pc-linux-gnu, x86_64-pc-linux-gnu,
powerpc-darwin-8.11.0).

Paolo

An installation on a 32 bit system ... this may help someone... (my
question and Paolo's response)

except the Integer test - left this for ten minutes and it still hadn't
completed.

mixture of Gentoo and Centos) the Integer test never finishes - or not
in ten minutes anyway. I've seen someone else mention this as well.

That's because you haven't installed GMP.  I never figured out if it is
slow, or buggy.  Will fix before 3.1.

Paolo
