My changes file is 65mb!!  Is there anything I can do to shrink this
puppy back down to something respectable?

From the System Folder, use menu File/Compress Changes.

3 options ...

1) Start again with a clean image.  You will have to make sure all the
changes you have made to the current image are saved, usually in packages,
so they can be reloaded - and don't forget about any "on the fly" changes
you have made to the image.  This has the advantage of clearing any
"rubbish" from the image but means that any changes in the original, now
replaced, change log can't be recovered..

2) Do a "Compress Changes" from the file menu.  This goes through the change
log and deletes any duplicate changes, only leaving the latest version of
each change.  The implication of this is obviously that you will no longer
be able to recover, or track, any older modifications.

3) Do a "Compress Sources" from the file menu.  This merges all the changes
you have made into the base image (moves their source code from dolphin.chg
to dolphin.sml) and starts again with a completely empty change file.

Personally I use option 1 to prevent large change file but others prefer
option 2.  Option 3 is probably not something you would want to do unless
you want to lose any distinction between the default image and your changes.
