[7.4] Disappearing VM

We've just upgraded our development and production environments to 7.4 and
I'm glad to report that our issue with VM process disappearing is still alive and kicking ;) Its fairly easy to reproduce in the vanilla image, all you need to do is - Start the image - File > Open File... - Desktop - Move the mouse over any .txt file until the tooltip shows up - Cancel - File > Open File... - Desktop - Move the mouse over any .txt file until the VM promptly shuts down For unbelievers out there, preview trailer is available via: http://www.cincomsmalltalk.com/CincomSmalltalkWiki/DOWNLOAD/video/disappeari ng.vw.74.mov OS Name: Microsoft Windows XP Professional OS Version: 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600 System Manufacturer: Dell Inc. Genius! I recall pursuing the problem last summer, but didn't manage to
convince anyone at Cincom that this was really happening, so we had to live through more "Recover Last Changes" than was really necessary ;) Thanks Bob, looking forward to this being integrated soon, for now it'll roam around in our system overrides package. We'll try to get an offical patch up on the web site in the next week or to. Another bit of data, is that it seems to be connected to the installation of Acrobat 7. |

That would be because encoder I used (H.264) is new to QuickTime 7; no idea
why the auto-updater would lie to you.
