9.0 documentation is actually 8.6.3 ?

Steven LaFavor
Just downloaded the 9.0 x86 version and the VASmalltalkDocumenation9.0.exe and I am installing it to a new PC.

When installing the documentation, it actually says that it is installing 8.6 - is there no update for the 9.0 documentation?

Anyone else encountering this?

Hello Steve,

We're checking out the documentation installer for 9.0 x86.
In the meantime, the online version of the documentation can be found here:

Thanks

Hello Steve,

The team was not able to reproduce this and I just tried it myself, as well.

"it actually says that it is installing 8.6"
- Where are you seeing this?
- After it installs and you launch either the Local or Web Information Center links...what version does it show on the welcome page?

Re: 9.0 documentation is actually 8.6.3 ?

Steven LaFavor
I believe I've figured out what is going on.  If you run the 9.0 documentation installer on a system where the 8.6.3 documentation is already installed, upon completing the extraction of the 9.0 msi file, it jumps immediately to the 8.6.3 InstallShield Wizard (Modify/Repair/Remove)

I am currently uninstalling the 8.6.3 version to see if it then moves forward to the 9.0 install.

So, you cannot have both versions installed on the same machine?
