A question about the configuration pane

Hi all

I would like to know what is the role of the Default Entry point and  
its combox and submit button.

I understand the add entry point let us define applications,  
directory and serving static files.
But I do not get the button above.

It's the application selected when you don't explicitly write the
entry point in the url. For example, if you select "pier" as the
default entry point then "/seaside" will point to pier. No need for
"/seaside/pier" anymore.

Hope I'm not too wrong.
