A rather strange "window" problem ...

Dennis smith-4
This is hardly serious, more curious than anything.

I work both at home and at the office.  Our Store DB is at the office.
At night, I ship a zipped image to the office, unzip and dump stuff to
Store.
Both PC's running Windows-XP SP2.

I save the resulting image, zip it and move it back home.  I  unzip it and
of the 4 windows that are usually open, one (the same one all the time)
does not appear.

The windows
    - does not show in the task-bar
    - does not show on the screen
    - says its open and mapped (isOpen and isMapped)
    - sending raise and expand does nothing.
    - sending "map" shows the window and everything is normal
If on the other hand I ship the zip file back to the office PC, unzip it
and run the image, everything is normal and all the windows are there.

Anyone seen anything like this??

AW: A rather strange "window" problem ...

Mülheims, Klaus
 Hi,

I've seen this behaviour with other programs we are using (not VW). Is it possible that the "missing" window is displayed at coordinates which are not visible, means outside the bounds of the physical monitor, because the screen-resolution differs on the two pcs?

Greetings

Good thought, but no -- for two reasons
    1. it does not show up in the task bar
    2. both screens are the same resolution.

However, I did not check the window to see what it thought its
co-ordinates were, I will do that tonight when I should
be seeing the problem again.

Did anything change in the CTLIB library for 7.4.1 compared to 7.3 ? Cannot connect to Sybase 12.5 anymore.
