**********************************************************************
                    Call for contributions for the

                     14th International Smalltalk Conference
                         Monday 4th - Friday 8 September 2006
                         Prague, Czech Republic
                         http://www.esug.org

For the past 14 years, the European Smalltalk User Group (ESUG) has
organized the
International Smalltalk Conference, a lively forum on cutting edge
software technologies that attract people from
both academia and industry for a whole week. Every year, around
half of attendees are engineers using Smalltalk in
business while the rest of attendees are students and teachers using
Smalltalk for both their research and courses.

As every year, this year's edition of the event will include the
regular technical program with high quality invited speakers.
In addition, we'll have a research track with an excellent program
committee, a business day about successful use of Smalltalk
in the market place, and a technology award event where prizes will
be distributed to authors of best pieces of
Smalltalk-related software.

THIS YEAR we are looking for YOUR EXPERIENCE Reports using Smalltalk,
so please come and tell others about your
experience and projects

Here is a non exhaustive list of topics we are interested in:
- XP practices
- Development tools
- Experience reports
- Model driven development
- Web development

- Meta-Modeling
- Security
- New libraries

Are you a student, and do you want to attend ESUG (the premier
European Conference on Smalltalk)? This year, ESUG again has a
student volunteer program you can apply for. Your duties will be few,
and you will have to help the local organizers. ESUG does not pay
travel costs, but the conference will be free. Depending on the
number of students the hosting will possibly also be free.
