Hello VAST team, thanks for keeping up your pace! I just downloaded and installed 9.2.2 on Windows 10x64. My first attempt at creating a 9.2.2 environment ended up in a 9.2 image (I had previously installed 9.2). There are two things to look at. First: you have to use the 9.2.2 environments, the pre-existing environments are still present on your machine (and desktop). The second error I made was probably a bit supported by the sorting of VAST versions in the "Create New Environemt" Dialog: 9.2.2 is NOT the top-most version... May I suggest changing the order of versions in upcoming releases? I guess there will be 2021.xx versions in the future... If other users are not sure if they stepped into the same Trap: your Transcript should explicitly mention V 9.2.2 after startup, like this: Joachim Am Donnerstag, 11. If we aren't especially interested in 9.2.2, would there be an advantage in using the 9.2.2 binaries with 9.2.1 images? They are compatible, right?

Hi Wayne,
We've rigorously test these branch releases (i.e. 9.2.1, 9.2.2) and can only officially claim how they behave as a unit. With the high stability levels of 9.2.2, we're down to fixing obscure bugs that took lots of time to identify. My hope is that all users update their installations, so they don't encounter these bugs that have already been fixed. :) To answer your specific question though, the binaries are most likely "compatible" in the technical sense. Again, I would just hate to have the situation where you run into an issue that has been solved already. - Seth On Friday, June 12, 2020 at 7:04:46 AM UTC-4 [hidden email] wrote:

Hi Joachim,
I have run into this exact problem as well, so I understand the issue. We already have a development case open to modify the sort order to make the releases display in release order, so look for this enhancement in the 10.0.0 release ! Thanks Bob,
I like how you also look at such details. Joachim -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "VA Smalltalk" group.
