I just stumbled upon http://asmjs.org at http://whydoesitsuck.com/why-does-javascript-suck/ and immediately thought it would be important to this group. I'm glad to see it's not news for you. Are there any anticipated effects from this on Amber?

As soon as you understand how asmjs works you see that is nothing we can do. It is for another audience like if things are compiled from C/C++ to javascript.
The article has not much new to read. We all know that they power of javascript is because it is ubiqitous available. The downsides are that many quirks. For me this is a reason why compiling to javascript is feasible. That is one target of CoffeScript as well as amber. That's all there is to say for me. Norbert
