About parentPackage

Hello,

Still in the context of Moose re-architecting, we detected that parentSelector is defined at FAMIXNamedEntity level but is only used for Smalltalk model at FamixMethod and FamixClass.

As parentSelector is a container, it should not be defined at a too high level.

We suggest to move down this property to this both subclasses. Has someone something against it?

You must have read: as parentPackage is a parentSelector (i.e. a way to access the container), it should not be defined at a too high level.

For example, a FAMIXAttribute has a parentPackage, that corresponds to the parentPackage of its class because a FAMIXAttribute can not be directly in a Package. Since parentPackage is not a computed feature, it has to be set when the attribute is moved to another class belonging to another package that the original class.

Moreover, due to this, almost all classes inherited from FAMIXNamedEntity have two parentSelectors, what does not make sense. Once again, an Attribute can only be contained to a Class.

We suggest to move down this property to this both subclasses. Has someone something against it?

An other possibility is to not consider parentPackage as a parentSelector for FAMIXNamedEntity.
