Hello squeaksourcers and others.
ESUG has the www.squeaksource.eu entry. Now it is going to be expired and the board is wondering if it makes sense to keep it. Please let us know your point of view. Hi Stef,
I'll think segmentation is not justified enough. Anybody see something real and valuable for the whole community which can be extracted from it? I agree. Now our point was to get a domain that we earned because if
tomorrow squeaksource.com is lost then we will be all in trouble. We (ESUG) would love to own www.squeaksource.com Stef On Aug 31, 2008, at 1:57 PM, Sebastian Sastre wrote: > Hi Stef, > I'll think segmentation is not justified enough. Then you should contact Chris using the info. at:
http://lists.squeakfoundation.org/pipermail/squeak-dev/2007-April/115824.html Just a few weeks ago, at the Toronto Smalltalk user group meeting he mentioned that he would be happy if the "real" owners would take over the name. IIRC, he ended up with it because the previous owner wanted to give it up, but no community organization wanted to claim it, so Chris stepped up to hold it, so it wouldn't be lost. -- Yanni Chiu stephane ducasse wrote: > I agree.
