In Core #10463 we have:

BlockContext>>fixTemps   -> the old implementation
BlockClosure>>fixTemps   -> the empty no-op for compatibility

I'm not talking about BlockContext>>fixTemps but about Encoder>>fixTemp:

I'm not familiar with this code, but we are not talking about the same  
method here...
