All text shows up in foreign script

Stefano Franchi
Dear all,

I just tried to move an existing installation of Visualworks from an
Ubuntu 10.10  box to a fresh Archlinux  box and most text
in the interface now appears to be in  Arabic script.

The panes in the class browser, the buttons, etc., all contain Arabic script. I
guess there is some system-wide language or encoding variable that
Archlinux does
not set and Visualworks check?

Any help appreciated,

Stefano

Archlinux is perhaps missing the fonts VisualWorks uses (Helvetica). Try installing some more fonts, e.g. a few years back gsfonts-x11 helped.
