I think it's a good opportunity for anybody who thinks Seaside or Aida
has a commercial future, and believes "The Cloud" is more than a
buzzword to step forward and do it. Amazon has just announced a new
program for those who want to sell services on top of AWS.
*Announcing the AWS Solution Providers Program*
The AWS Solution Providers Program serves a growing community of
Independent Software Vendors and Systems Integrators that offer a rich
set of solutions and consulting services on AWS. Benefits to program
members include listing in the AWS Solution Providers Directory

Maybe, as Gemstone is free for commercial projects up to 4GB, anybody
could go ahead and make a decent setup of GLASS on AWS (EC2+S3+???) and
sell it pre-packaged, and maybe even charge maintenance fees, all
mounted on free for commercial use technology. It doesn't really have to
be Gemstone who does it, and they are fine (by the license they grant)
if you do it and charge for it
