Does anyone know of any hosting firms offering hosting of sites that use
VisualWorks, Seaside, and PostgreSQL (for use w/ Glorp)? While I'm still working on porting my existing PHP/MySQL application over to the land of Smalltalk, I'd like to get an idea on whether this combination is even possible currently with any hosting companies.. I'm currently checking with my existing hosting firm to see if they'd entertain the possiblity since they offer Windows/Unix/MySQL/PostgreSQL, but are obviously missing the Smalltalk/Seaside part of the equation (my hunch tells me that they'll probably decline).. of course, my other option is to run it from home which might be doable I guess, but not ideal.. Has anyone tried this combination? Thanks! _______________________________________________ Seaside mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.squeakfoundation.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/seaside |

Search for virtualization providers. Search for VPS (Virtual Private Server) hosting. Regards, -- Esteban A. There are hosting services that let you do just about whatever you
want in the way of CGI stuff because they essentially virtualize your space on the drive and isolate others from anyu problems you might cause. One such host -- and one I heartily recommend -- is Dreamhost. I run oddball CGI stuff there all the time. Haven't tried Seaside yet but I'm going to do so soon. They don't even require you to put your cgi stuff in a special folder in your space. And their pricing/value is outrageous.
