[ Article ] LampSort Revisited, Visualised

Sven Van Caekenberghe-2
Hi,

I wrote another article

  LampSort Revisited, Visualised
Combining Object Logging & Agile Visualisation
  https://medium.com/concerning-pharo/lampsort-revisited-visualised-6652055ef858

It is an introduction and tutorial on object logging using a simple, concrete example, combining that technique with agile visualisation and advanced tools, to get amazing insight into code, easily.

It cumulates in a full, animated visualisation as shown in the following screencast movie

  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rrsm6E7iA9w

Thanks to Pierre Chanson, Doru Girba and Alex Bregel for helping me and for their, their teams and the whole Pharo community's work making all this possible.

Sven

PS:

This article is part of the 'Concerning Pharo' collection on medium.com [ https://medium.com/concerning-pharo ], which I maintain. It contains all my medium.com articles that are 'about software development using a pure dynamic object oriented language in an immersive live environment focused on simplicity and feedback'.

Hi Sven,

This is really a nice piece that shows several things:
- how object logging eases debugging
- how easy it is to visualize otherwise shapeless objects
- how embedding visualization in the development process improves productivity dramatically

Thanks!

Cheers,
Doru
