I have a project nearing a critical stage and I am wanting to use
Gemstone however, I will require Seaside 3.0. I've been reading the emails and blogs and am lead to believe the release is close but not yet available. Am I correct? If beta testers are required to help in completing the release I would like to offer my services. My current configuration with Pharo and Magma is too slow and I am looking to Gemstone for the necessary performance boost. Maybe this isn't realistic. Tim |
Tim,
2.4 and Seaside3.0 are available. I can supply you with the necessary information to do the download, if you are interested. I haven't made Seaside3.0 generally available because the remote debugging facility has not been ported to Seaside3.0, so there isn't the level of tools that I'd like. Also Magritte2 and Pier2 have not been ported. Sean Allen has been using this setup in production since the beginning of the year so there aren't any major problems that I'm aware of ... Sean has also built appliances based on 2.4 and Seaside3.0, if you are interested in going that route.
