Binary distributions

I did read on smalltalk.gnu.org that binary distributions are not provided.  What is actually the reason for this?  Would it be possible to at least make a binary distribution available for the latest stable (3.1?) release for Mac OS X and Windows ... the linux users are maybe quite happy to do it themselves?  The steps someone needs to go through to just try out GST on windows seems to be a bit too much.  Can someone here can share their binary?

For Mac OS X there is macports.  Otherwise, the steps to produce a
binary distribution are simple.  I'll add something to the page.

Paolo

I have built GST under Win32, I'll put it somewhere if you wish.

Compiling on Windows had some issues lastly but Paolo is working on that. And as
soon as the issues are gone I will prepare a Windows installer.

Most issues are gone.  I could build trunk gst, from MSYS terminal
(rxvt) if I remember correctly.

Now I need to find some time to package 3.1.1 and release it.

I need configuration files prepared because I couldn't make autoreconf work on
MSYS :( I guess I will wait until package release.

That would be great!  Can it be shared on the website?  Anyway, I am very interested!
