BotKit for Lego Mindstorms RIS 2.0?

Marc Paterno
Hello,

I'm wondering if there is (or if there are plans for) a version of the
Dolphin Smalltalk
BotKit for Lego Mindstorms RIS 2.0? RIS 2.0 doesn't come with the spirit.ocx
control, so it isn't obvious to me how to use the existing BotKit with it.

If anyone has already made the BotKit work with RIS 2.0, I'd appreciate a
pointer
on how to do so.

best regards,
Marc

I haven't any experience with RIS 2.0. Does it use an ActiveX interface to
the RCX or something more proprietary. If the latter, I'm not sure what can
be done to get Bot-Kit working again.

Andy,

It seems that the interface is more proprietary; while there are a bunch  of
DLLs shipped with RIS 2.0, it isn't obvious to me which (if any) provide the
functions equivalent to what spirit.ocx provided. I've dumped out the names
of all the callable functions for each DLL, and don't see anything that
looks
very promising.

I was hoping that someone who understood more of the internals that I might
have already figured a way around this. I'll keep looking.

best regards,
Marc
