Brand new modern Spotter design!

Aliaksei Syrel
Hi,

We would like to present a brand new Spotter design! It follows all modern UI techniques as flat and material design. Feel the future coming! Update Spotter to the latest version:

{       { 'ConfigurationOfRubric'. 'AlainPlantec'. 'Rubric' }.
        { 'ConfigurationOfGlamourCore'. 'Moose'. 'Glamour' }.
        { 'ConfigurationOfGTInspectorCore'. 'Moose'. 'GToolkit' }.
        { 'ConfigurationOfGTPlaygroundCore'. 'Moose'. 'GToolkit' }.
        { 'ConfigurationOfGTSpotter'. 'Moose'. 'GToolkit' }.
{ 'ConfigurationOfGToolkitCore'. 'Moose'. 'GToolkit' }.
} do: [ :spec |
        Gofer new
                smalltalkhubUser: spec second project: spec third;
                package: spec first;
                load ].
ConfigurationOfGToolkitCore loadDevelopment.
KMRepository reset.

Best wishes,
GT Team

Nah, you have to experience it first hand yourself. It's too cool to experience it via a dead picture.

Is it available in the new moose image?

tried on a new Pharo 4 image, i get tons of the same error Error: instances of Unidentified Object are not indexable . It keeps erroring forever and it does not even allow me to open the debugger :(

ok it works with fresh latest image. The new color does not respect the dark theme.  I really like the tooltips, is it possible to adjust tooltip depending on the OS so it displays the appropriate shortcut ?

The idea to have corresponding tooltip alongwith the shortcuts (OS dependent) is a very nice idea indeed .

I would prefer (esp in the dark theme) a grayscale version.

This is too much in your face and candy like, but I must admit it is well done.

My opinion :

Even when a tool has its own theme support should still support and respect the central theme.

But we think that complementary universal colors work best in this context.

Re: Brand new modern Spotter design!

can you explain a bit more what you mean ? are you referring to the pharo central theme or GTSpotter theme ?

It will be a huge pain for users  to set a separate theme for each tool inside pharo.

I am saying that the current look is universally applicable and should be used as is without alteration for all eternity :).

I have to agree.
I was going to complain before seen it, until I noticed that red is very sexy.
It will push Pharo to a next level.

cheers!
