Hi, We would like to present a brand new Spotter design! It follows all modern UI techniques as flat and material design. Feel the future coming! Update Spotter to the latest version: { { 'ConfigurationOfRubric'. 'AlainPlantec'. 'Rubric' }. { 'ConfigurationOfGlamourCore'. 'Moose'. 'Glamour' }. { 'ConfigurationOfGTInspectorCore'. 'Moose'. 'GToolkit' }. { 'ConfigurationOfGTPlaygroundCore'. 'Moose'. 'GToolkit' }. { 'ConfigurationOfGTSpotter'. 'Moose'. 'GToolkit' }. { 'ConfigurationOfGToolkitCore'. 'Moose'. 'GToolkit' }. } do: [ :spec | Gofer new smalltalkhubUser: spec second project: spec third; package: spec first; load ]. ConfigurationOfGToolkitCore loadDevelopment. KMRepository reset. Best wishes, GT Team |

Nah, you have to experience it first hand yourself. It's too cool to experience it via a dead picture. Cheers, Doru On Wed, Apr 1, 2015 at 11:51 AM, Sven Van Caekenberghe <[hidden email]> wrote: What about a couple of screenshots for lazy people like me ? |
Is it available in the new moose image?
Because besides the red color I don’t see anything new :( Uko

tried on a new Pharo 4 image, i get tons of the same error Error: instances of Unidentified Object are not indexable . It keeps erroring forever and it does not even allow me to open the debugger :(

ok it works with fresh latest image. The new color does not respect the dark theme. I really like the tooltips, is it possible to adjust tooltip depending on the OS so it displays the appropriate shortcut ? On Wed, Apr 1, 2015 at 1:14 PM, kilon alios <[hidden email]> wrote:

The idea to have corresponding tooltip alongwith the shortcuts (OS dependent) is a very nice idea indeed . On Wed, Apr 1, 2015 at 3:50 PM, kilon alios <[hidden email]> wrote:

What's wrong with the color?

I would prefer (esp in the dark theme) a grayscale version. This is too much in your face and candy like, but I must admit it is well done. > On 01 Apr 2015, at 12:48, Tudor Girba <[hidden email]> wrote: > > What's wrong with the color? > > Doru > > -- > www.tudorgirba.com > > "Every thing has its own flow" > >> On 01 Apr 2015, at 12:40, Sven Van Caekenberghe <[hidden email]> wrote: >> >> >>> On 01 Apr 2015, at 12:05, Tudor Girba <[hidden email]> wrote: >>> >>> :) >> >> It is probably completely rewritten under the hood ;-) >> >> The color, hmm, not what I would choose ... >> >>> -- >>> www.tudorgirba.com >>> >>> "Every thing has its own flow" >>> >>>> On 01 Apr 2015, at 12:03, Yuriy Tymchuk <[hidden email]> wrote: >>>> >>>> Is it available in the new moose image? >>>> >>>> Because besides the red color I don’t see anything new :( >>>> >>>> Uko >>>> >>>>> On 01 Apr 2015, at 11:53, Tudor Girba <[hidden email]> wrote: >>>>> >>>>> Nah, you have to experience it first hand yourself. It took me a minute... but well done. :) Peter On Wed, Apr 1, 2015 at 12:53 PM, Sven Van Caekenberghe <[hidden email]> wrote: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_gustibus_non_est_disputandum |
My opinion : Even when a tool has its own theme support should still support and respect the central theme. |
But we think that complementary universal colors work best in this context.

can you explain a bit more what you mean ? are you referring to the pharo central theme or GTSpotter theme ? It will be a huge pain for users to set a separate theme for each tool inside pharo. I am saying that the current look is universally applicable and should be used as is without alteration for all eternity :).

I bet that with dark background acidic purple will look better.

I have to agree. I was going to complain before seen it, until I noticed that red is very sexy. It will push Pharo to a next level. cheers!

It certainly will attract younger people. The strawberry ice cream look is just too fascinating!! Norbert
