COM

There is a COM Connect in VisualWorks, and a third party extension that
allows you to embed ActiveX components in VW Windows.  ObjectStudio has
native COM support, and can directly embed ActiveX components into Guis

I have used headless (without GUI) COM components with success. I did
merging of Excel spreadsheets into our system. VisualWorks is shipped
with some useful examples to get you started.

Previously Cincom announced support for hosting COM GUI components,
but this has not been delivered.
