Cairo Installation

Hi,

I try to install Cairo graphics and run the Akamaru demo and PackageMetrics.

I am with the win32 GTK+ 2.6.10, but one way or another I remain stuck on the could not library message.

Hi Maarten,

GTK+ is at 2.10.11 now, which comes with Cairo 1.2.6 and Pango 1.16.1.
You should upgrade, as GTK+ 2.6.10 is from 2005. It uses Pango 1.8.2,
and I have not found which version of Cairo it includes, if any. The
Cairo interface for VW may not be compatible to such an old version of
Cairo and Pango. You can get the latest version of GTK+ from
http://gladewin32.sourceforge.net/.

There is a binary of Cairo 1.4.0 at
http://www.gimp.org/%7Etml/gimp/win32/downloads.html, but I haven't had
any luck with that one.
