Can Dolphin X6 co-exist with older version on the same machine?

Sean Thin
I've downloaded VE 5.1, patched to PL4, from Bitwise Mag. and a few
sample packages for this version from various people . I intend to keep
this version while exploring new one. I think seeing how a product
progress (the history) helps a lot in my learning and most answers in
this newsgroup are for older versions. I would really appreciate to
know if installing X6 as well as its documentation will not disrrupt my
older version. If installing new one will invariably affect the
workings of older version, please suggest a workaround so new and old
ones can still co-exist. Hope this doesn't sound exeggerating.

Thank you.

Sean,

I have both on my machine. If you install D6 in a different directory,
they live happily on the same machine., not disturbing each other.

Janos

Thanks to Janos and Kim. My mistake for not launching the setup EXE of
X6 before posting this. If I had, I should have read the following
readme:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to Dolphin Smalltalk X6
Upgrading from Previous Major Releases

Dolphin X6 should coexist happily with previous installations of
Dolphin 5, 4, 3 or 2 providing you don't choose to install it directly
over the top of these products. Just in case there are any problems, we
recommend that you save all your work to packages and backup your image
files to avoid any possibility of your losing work.

Thanks again for taking the time to read and reply.
