Hi Andreas,

any news on the Cog VM?

Last time Göran asked (see [1]) there was no answer ... but
maybe it is possible to get some more infos about the state of the project.

Elliots blog http://www.mirandabanda.org/cogblog/
wasnt updated since 2009 and I can imagine the community is
highly interested in any further information you or Elliot
are allowed to share.

Thx
T.

I think CogVM will probably not be released to the public.

I think there are only two people (Andreas, Eliot) on the list who are
in a position to speak pronounce on the matter, but with that out the
way the most recent thing that I recall reading is this:

http://lists.squeakfoundation.org/pipermail/squeak-dev/2010-April/148987.html

Relevant snippet:

Squeak 4.1 includes the closure implementation from Cog as a
prerequisite for full Cog adoption later.

I apologize for my ignorance, but at which title do you express this opinion ?
WIthout any clue, the value of ('I think' + 'probably') is near (void
raisedTo: 2).

Do you mean to go to Delphi to consult the oracle, or quit programming in Squeak and start programming in Delphi?  Either way, you made me chuckle :-)

Cheers,
Josh

I apologise for being so unspecific. I base my assumption on the
thread "[Pharo-project] MIT strikes back" in the Pharo Mailing-list.
