ComboBox drop-down list not happening ... sometimes ...

We often open a window as an #imageModalDialog.

If that window contains a ComboBox, then sometimes when you click the button
the list does not open.  Often it does, but when it does not either
nothing happens
or the list-window flickers and goes away.

I ran a forked task to watch windows and its there in the list, but does
not show.

Anyone seen this??
