Yes. I have done it.

There is some on the Wiki. If you want your server auto-activated, then
there are few details to work through. It's possible that some recent
enhancements will make it easier. Even the hard way isn't all that bad the
second time you do it ;) My recommendation would be to start with newCOMer
and then jump in with both feet - post when you get stuck and we'll all
learn something.
