Do Dolphins like Wine?

Stefan Schmiedl
I just thought I'd ask before I spend some time on it:

Does Dolphin run with wine or some other (which?)
windows emulation layer on linux?
I do know that it runs fine under vmware, but
that was to be expected.

thanks,
stefan

Go to google.com and search for "Dolphin wine" in comp.lang.smalltalk.
It appears that some people have tested this and found that it works,
but that it's not perfect (due to lack of support for some Win32
functions in Wine).  Good luck.

the most relevant message seems to be:
http://groups.google.com/groups?q=Dolphin+wine+linux
but refers only to 3.06.

The most notable problem seems to be that installers
won't run under wine, which I saw with other programs, too.

I think, I will wait until v5 is out (when? when? when?)
and try it with the new version, if I still have the need.

thanks.
