DocumentModel/Editor classes?

Stephen Pope

Hi All,

Does anyone have a useable document object that supports an editor with multi-font text and image drag-n-drop with the OS? I'm running mainly on a Mac and want to make a note-taker based on my old ListWorkBook class (see screenshot below), where I can copy/paste multi-font text and images from the Mac clipboard manager.

does such a thing exist?

…any reply appreciated…

stp

No, no such thing exists. It would be far too hard to build with Smalltalk.

Steve

PS hopefully a stupid answer like this will generate more replies than your sensible question did the previous two times! :-)

They tried something fancy like that in the Sophie project (Squeak) but had to port that to Java, obviously Smalltalk was too light-weight for such a chore.
