We'll post a list on the website (and to this newsgroup) shortly. Once you
install, you'll find a list (admittedly terse) list of enhancements and
fixes in the file "Release Notes.rtf"

I'm sure the Learning and Standard versions are somewhat smaller. They
are now distributed in the MS Installer format, so if you haven't
installed and installer that would add somewhat to the d/l size.

Why does it install in the Start menu, rather than somewhere below
Start/Programs? I couldn't find it at first.

Does 4.0 now support full Windows standard drag and drop? (the details of
which have mercifully gone from my memory, but I think involves a lot of
OLE faffing about). It was the one thing I couldn't easily whip up in
Dolphin when I was otherwise implementing a prototype application about 5
times as fast as the VB programmer on the next desk....

And the pricing structure has changed too.  I'm glad that the Database
connection stuff
is included with the standard version.  I think this pricing scheme is much
more attractive
than the older one.

Oh. Its a shame you didn't mention that before. It (OLE drag & drop) didn't
make it into this release because, as far as I recall, nobody asked for it.
There are always lots of possible features and I'm afraid we have to
prioritise.

I agree, and the actual cost of the full upgrade was a very pleasant
surprise as well. I'd transferred some extra funds into my current account
to cover what I expected the upgrade to cost and found I was able to treat
myself to an extra 64Meg of RAM as well as Dolphin 4.

Congratulations to Andy and Blair for a job well done.

It's of no importance to me now - the project that woud have used it died
a long time ago.

However, it's rather useful when writing little desktop utilities, so
having it in would be good. What's involved in making it work?
