So, I came across this '99 paper, which I'm sure is old news to
everyone here:

reading this was like looking in a mirror. However, I was wondering if
there was an updated version of the paper as it pertains to Dolphin?
Surely the interpreter speed and improvements discussed in the paper
have improved since '99. I'd be curious to know what did and didn't
work, what other surprises came along, etc.
