Note that the link is on http://www.squeak.org/Download/ . Also the
links to the VMs and sources files should be updated on this page.

This should also be updated: http://ftp.squeak.org/current_stable/

Ops, you a right, just corrected. Thanks!

By the way, are VM links still valid or shall be updated too? Are there
some newer 4.1 VMs too? Same with sources file, is there be a new 4.1
sources file too?

Best regards

There's a new sources file for 4.1 but it's missing from
http://ftp.squeak.org/4.1/
Someone should upload it.

Some VMs linked from the Download page can't open a 4.1 image, others have
bugs which were fixed for the release. The following links should be used:

Win32 (Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP/Vista)
http://squeakvm.org/win32/release/SqueakVM-Win32-4.0.2-bin.zip
or
http://ftp.squeak.org/4.1/win/SqueakVM-Win32-4.0.2-bin.zip

MacOS 7.5.5 to 9.2
http://ftp.squeak.org/4.1/mac/Squeak%204.2.4beta1U.app.zip
or
ftp://ftp.smalltalkconsulting.com/Squeak%204.2.4beta1U.app.zip

Linux
http://squeakvm.org/unix/release/Squeak-4.0.3.2202-linux_i386.tar.gz
or

Darwin PPC

Levente: I believe the new sources file is included with the image and changes in the zip file. This is turning out to be very convenient for me when working under linux with multiple versions of the image, btw.

That's right, but the sources file was available separately with previous
releases. They are linked directly from the download page. We can decide
not to make it available separately, but people may think that the 4.0
sources file are suitable for 4.1 (like it was with 3.x up to 3.8) unless
we add a note about it.

A short README would be nice. Notes embedded in the image are not accessible
to search engines.

BTW, why are the VM binaries duplicated in squeakvm.org? If ftp.squeak.org is
the reference site, wouldn't it be better to point to it?

If the duplication is intentional, an MD5 checksum alongside is desirable.
