Embedding IE with COM

federico.mennite@lifeware.ch
Hi,
I'd like to be able to embed Internet Explorer control into a Visual
Works app, by attacching it to a canvas/window.
The provided COM examples in VW7 show how to manipulate an IE instance
through automation (control InternetExplorer) but not how to embded this
intance by attaching it to a canvas.
Before beginning to find out how to implement a solution, I wanted to
know if someone had a pointer on this topic.

Regards,
Federico

SmallCOM/X would be the way to go,

http://www.joops.com/

The evaluation version plus a sample is included with VisualWorks 7.4.1,
but it works with 7.4 as well AFAIK.

Cheers,

-Boris

Unfortunately it fails to install on my XP box. The setup files look
pretty ancient.
I guess I'll have to spend more time than excpected on this.

Thanks anyway :)
