Error saving VW image across a network

We often save an image across a network to a Windows 2003 file server
(from a Win XP box).
If the image file (.im) is less than about 104Mb this is fine.  However,
if its much greater than that
(today it was 118Mb) it failes with an "unknown error" while saving
either the .im file.

I can use windows (or command line) and copy the file no problem.
I can even use VW to copy the file (using Filename stuff) -- its only when I
try and snapshot the image.

Anyone else seen this kind of thing?  If not, I will open a thingy with
cincom next week.
