Executing Topaz script from a sh file

BrunoBB
Dale,

From Topaz manual (page 31):
"You can embed the topaz code within a UNIX shell script, to create a file that can be easily
executed on the command line:"
#! /bin/sh
#set -x
$GEMSTONE/bin/topaz -il <<EOF >>MFC.out
set user DataCurator password swordfish gemstone gs64stone
login
! run garbage collection mark/sweep
exec SystemRepository markForCollection %
exit
EOF

My script is as follow:
#! /bin/sh
#set -x
$GS_HOME/bin/startTopaz -il <<EOF >>MFC.out
set user DataCurator password swordfish gemstone gs64stone
login
! run garbage collection mark/sweep
exec UserGlobals at: '#test' put: (Array with: 'bruno') %
exit
EOF

But i get an error:
/home/gemstone/GsDevKit_home/bin/startTopaz: illegal option -- i
Unknown option :: startTopaz -il :: startTopaz -il

What is the code to this with GsDevKit ?

regards
bruno

Hola Bruno,

I do it this way:

$GS_HOME/bin/startTopaz $1 -l <<EOF
login
run

Transcript show: 42.

%
commit
logout

EOF

Where $1 is my stoneName.

Cheers,

Bruno,

The $GS_HOME/bin/startTopaz takes the stone-name as the first arguments
... the rest of the command line is passed to topaz as topaz arguments.
I've in-lined the correction below.
