FAMIX-SQL

Anne Etien
Hi,

With Olivier, we are working on FAMIX-SQL. There are some things with which we disagree (usage of table or column name instead of directly the object, foreign keys only reference tables but through the sourceColumn message…). So we would like to know if someone uses FAMIX-SQL or if we can modify and restructure it. With the modifications, it will be difficult to be retro compatible.

Thanks in advance.
Olivier and Anne

Hi,

I am using it, but feel free to change it. Being backward compatible with a broken model is not particularly useful in the long run :).

Thanks for doing that.

Cheers,
Doru

Re: FAMIX-SQL

Fabrizio Perin-3
Hello Anne,
I'm using FAMIX-SQL too. About the retrocomapatibility there should not be any problem: First, I agree with Doru. Second, I did a version not long ago (version 2.1) that points to the current version of the model and the importer so it should be always possible to go back to the current status to make old code working, so go ahead and let me know if you want to discuss some changes.

Cheers,
Fabrizio
