FOSDEM 2019

Manolis Ragkousis
Dear all,

Nowadays it has become increasingly difficult to get a devroom in FOSDEM
for languages that are not mainstream. In 2016+2017 they gave a space to
Guile+Lua, but in 2018 we were rejected. This year we would like to
combine efforts with somewhat larger group and therefore will propose a
devroom for 'minimalistic languages with big ideas'. If we look at
your previous devroom

  https://archive.fosdem.org/2015/schedule/track/smalltalk/

we think a few talks would fit that. Are you interested in joining our
initiative? With Mes, Guile, Lua and Smalltalk we could make an
interesting program.

wdyt?

Manolis + Pj.

Hello all,

Because we are under a deadline to submit a proposal before the 20th of
September, it would be awesome to know if there is interest from
Smalltalk to join the initiative. :)

Please do send us what you think!

personally, i could sing the praises of smalltalk all day; but getting
to belguim to do it is another story

probably the most active smalltalk evangelists today are around the
pharo team and users - they are mainly centered in france IIRC - you
may want to engage them in this conversation
