I don't know the broader implications. I'm only looking at this through a microscope. When I tried what I wanted to do a debugger came up and the fix was obvious, so I made it.
When you say " just C types are automatically answered" do you just mean callback return values? not function returns in general, since I think I've seen that work already.
One way to consider it is don't implement functionality until its needed. In this case, it wasn't implemented, I needed it, I implemented it. Consider how often people in C-land return structs from callbacks. Maybe not often. Wait until someone needs it, with such a note in the chapter documentation.
