The method which takes care of choosing what to do when accepting the text is NautilusUI>>compileSource:notifying:. This method could be hacked to make this scenario work.

Another idea could be to implement a wrapper that is activated when the user selects 'Rewrite code' and deactivated when the user browses something else.
