We have not met, but I work for Alan Kay at Viewpoints Research.
I appreciate your work on Squeak for the XO.
I am bringing my family to Paris for a vacation next week. I
was wondering if there are one or two people who might be worth
meeting while I am there.
I have heard that you are not in France at the moment,
otherwise I would be asking to meet you.
Can you recommend someone who might like to have lunch with me
next Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday? That is Sept. 2-5.
My favorite topics are Squeak and Smalltalk in general, Etoys,
active essays, literate programming, documentation, automatically
generated explanations, ideas for new etoys, Ian's COLA, and Alex's
OMeta parser. I have just written a paper about how to run an OMeta
parser backwards.
Unfortunately, I do not speak French.
Please let me know if there is anyone I should meet and talk with.
