GUI development in Vw 7.2.1

Hello All,

I am working an application developed using Vw 7.2.1.

One of the problem that has been found is that multiple clicks have to be made on the menu in order to make it drop down.

This problem was found while working on XP machines.(works fine on Win2k)

Is there any way to rectify this?

I tried running the image using a higher version of the virtual machine(Vw 7.4.1).

In this case the menu works fine.

But is this sought of hybrid solution recomendable?

Yes, always use the latest VM available for a given major version
number.
Newer VMs are designed to be compatible with older images, when such
compatibility is not possible a new major version number will be used
by Cincom.

There is an issue with Menus, Comboboxes, etc on Windows XP ServicePack2 which seems to have changed something with the events sent
by Windows. That is why it runs smoothly on Win2k, but not on XP with Sp2.
There is a patch available for it on the Cincom Patches page.
