Hi, I have installed GLASS on Linux Centos 6.2. But I can not start the Stone process. (startGemstone command). The log is the following: | Configuration Files | | | | System File: /opt/gemstone/GemStone64Bit3.1.0.1-x86_64.Linux/seaside/data/system.conf | | | Executable File: /opt/gemstone/GemStone64Bit3.1.0.1-x86_64.Linux/seaside/data/seaside.conf | Warning: File not found (errno=2,ENOENT, The file or directory specified cannot | be found) | | using defaults. To install I ran installGemstone.sh script. It clear that seaside.conf is not present, but why ? Bruno, I think I need to see more of the stone log file to determine why the stone is not starting ... the warning about not finding seaside.conf is "normal" ... the installGemstone.sh command sets up the default system.conf and populates the $GEMSTONE/seaside/data directory with the correct extent0.dbf, so something else must be wrong... Dale, Thanks for the answer. I have attached the seaside.log to the mail. But I think I’m having a similar problems as: http://forum.world.st/NetLDI-Error-System-Error-errno-1-EPERM-Not-super-user-td4075056.html With the difference that “startnet” works fine. Although the “gslist -lcv” only shows one process: Ok 3.1.0.1 tom 2229 50377 Netldi gs64ldi Regards, Bruno De: Dale K. Henrichs [mailto:[hidden email]] Bruno,

Hi,
Finally got it. [root@localhost tom]# gslist -lcv Status Version Owner Pid Port Started Type Name ------- --------- --------- ----- ----- ------------ ------ ---- OK 3.1.0.1 tom 4917 50377 Sep 28 03:00 Netldi gs64ldi OK 3.1.0.1 root 4820 33507 Sep 28 03:00 Stone seaside OK 3.1.0.1 root 4822 34384 Sep 28 03:00 cache seaside~76eaf9eafb85721 Somehow extent0.dbf was "corrupted", a copy a newone and "startGemstone" worked. Now "startSeaside_Hyper 50081" is NOT working for some reason, so i going to find out. Hi,
Hyper_server-50081_5.log I have installed GLASS with the following process running. Status Version Owner Pid Port Started Type Name ------- --------- --------- ----- ----- ------------ ------ ---- OK 3.1.0.1 root 2989 34027 Sep 30 23:22 cache seaside~26187a7c0e982a09 OK 3.1.0.1 tom 3073 50377 Sep 30 23:23 Netldi gs64ldi OK 3.1.0.1 root 2987 58060 Sep 30 23:22 Stone seaside But: startSeaside_Hyper 50081, fails to run. I have attached the Hyper_server-50081_5.log. Any idea is welcome... Regards, Bruno |
Hyper is somewhat obsolete ...
I typically recommend using FastCGI, but I think that these days, Zinc is a good option .
