The good thing about HN or Reddit or any other "horizontal propagation" medium, is that your message reachs people that doesn't have anything to do with Smalltalk as it is today (comeback?) or as it was before (great).

It is a good way to get feedback from real users, that are prospects who might become the next generation of Pharo developers.

This particular comment let me hanging though:
https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=5395496

We should pay special attention to those feedbacks, otherwise we'll be always "preaching to the choir".

Bottom line: We should try to get more feedback from outsiders.

Regards,

Esteban.

hi tocayo,

yep, I'm already addressing some of the good observations this guy made. In particular, I'm a long time enemy of the one-click images, so I'm killing them (and replacing it for more suitable platform specific builds).

Cheers,
Esteban

ps: I lost my HN password, so I cannot reply directly... :P

Yes, those comments are very useful.

We could add those in the fogbugz tracker under a heading
"communication" or something like that.

I am volunteering for the encoding.
