Hooking into Transcript

I am writing a test of behavior that writes to the Transcript, so I want to inspect what's been written.  I played with the stream methods with no success (I don't remember exactly what I did, it was a few weeks ago).  I also Googled "squeak hook into transcript" with no relevant hits.

What's the best way to do this?  Thanks.
