How do I use the SUInPlaceSelect shown on the Scriptaculous wiki?

http://wiki.script.aculo.us/scriptaculous/show/InPlaceSelect

If it is not yet supported in Seaside/Scriptaculous are there some problems
with it? If not, what would be the simplest place for me to start?

It is in Scriptaculous-Core-lr.3 for Seaside 2.9. Not very
sophisticated, but it works.

Ehh, Scriptaculous-Core-lr.5. The latest one.

Great, thanks. Any idea if this will work in Seaside 2.8, or will it
probably depend on 2.9?
