Hello Everyone,
Good day!
I would like to ask if the VA SmallTalk has a host container that could display an exe/application file. We could launch the external application(exe) developed in .Net though SmallTalk. But I was thinking if we could display it within the smalltalk container.
Hi Cha, it's not clear what you are asking. It sounds like you want a separate executable to use a pane in some Smalltalk window as its window. I'm no Windows expert, so I have never heard of anything like that, in any language. If you have, please elaborate on what it does and how it does.
That being said, VA Smalltalk does support OLE. But that's not an exe/application running; it's more like just a DLL.
I am also not current on whether recent versions of VA Smalltalk have added support for any other technologies. If they have, hopefully someone from Instantiations can chip in.
Thank you very much! I really appreciate your help..
Regards,
Cha
