The Internet Ray Tracing Competition web site went live this morning.
This site is implemented with VisualWorks and Seaside. It runs a bi-monthly competition for ray traced still images and (later) animations. Initially, it may not look like a Seaside site since the URL's don't have _s and _k parameters. I've set it up so that all URL's are REST-ful until you're logged in so that the pages could be bookmark-able and Google indexable. As soon as I can get the video processed, I'll post a video of the presentation I did for the Ottawa Carleton Smalltalk Users Group. Hey David,
No "powered by" logo? (http://www.seaside.st/about/logos) Where's the love? ;D Nice to have some public examples that use the technique of forgoing session and continuation keys on the less application-like parts of the site. I want to find some time to develop that idea more and write it up at some point. I'm planning on doing a tutorial at ESUG which may touch on that a bit among other things. We'll see what time allows... Actually, I plan to add a few logos. Seaside, Simberon and Firewave
should go there. Thanks for the link. I'll add a logo shortly. David Julian Fitzell wrote: > Hey David, > > No "powered by" logo? That's the company that did the graphics design work for the site.
