Important - Upgrade Bug in 3.1

The process for upgrading to 3.1 from an earlier version does not
handle updating user passwords correctly (special system user accounts
such as SystemUser and DataCurator are not impacted). As a result,
upgrading production systems to v3.1 requires extra steps to ensure
password security of user accounts.  This is tracked as bug #42381.

If you are planning to upgrade to 3.1 soon, please contact GemStone
Technical Support for additional information.

New databases originating in 3.1 (i.e. those that are not upgraded) are
not affected.

A fix for this problem with be provided soon in release 3.1.0.1.
