Looking at the list of talks I really wish I could be at the ESUG conference ... will the talks be recorded so those who won't be able to be there will be able to at least get an update afterwards?

I will not be at ESUG this year, so I won't be recording.  If someone else records the talks, I'd be happy to host the video though.  Getting large files to me could be easily accomplished via DropBox.

This is bad news
James your recordings last year were very important in my learning of smalltalk.
Thank you very much.

Do conference organizers have contemplated some form of recording?

Hi,

One of the services Citilab offers as a venue of conferences is a live
streaming of the talks. Also, they may be recorded. I will ask, but I am
pretty sure that this service is included. As soon as I am back to Barcelona
I will ask. I'll keep you informed.

Bests,

David,

I have a phone call schedule with Apple senior management on Monday to
discuss the items you mention below. I will give everyone an update after those
talks conclude.

Do you want me to forward that mail to esug?
BTW do you know that all my lectures are in creative commons as well as the ones of oscar nierstrasz.

http://stephane.ducasse.free.fr/Tmp/PowerPoint/

I'm thinking that he could find somebody to help you even orthogonally to this position.
for example if you succeed to some lectures over a week we could send an experienced teacher
(like me for example) and we could ask ESUG to support some of the cost.

One thing that might be interesting for you is that the Smalltalk Solutions 2011 conference will be held in March in Las Vegas, Nevada. Not as local as it might be, but not so far away.
