It is wrong to send #cr in:

silentlyValue
        "evaluates the receiver but avoiding progress bar notifications to show  
up."
       
        ^[ self value ]
                on: ProgressInitiationException
                do: [ :ex |
                        ex sendNotificationsTo: [ :min :max :curr |
                                self traceCr: min printString,'  ',max printString,'  ',curr  
printString; cr
                        ].
                ].

Incredibly, this is my first SLICE and bug report in Pharo. I hope I

Maybe we should add a test in BlockClosureTest.

that's all ;)

personally, i feel this whole approach is abuse..
first, this behavior is clearly not related to block closure, it is just a  
convenience method for progress-bar uses. This method should be an extension
of morphic/progress bar but not block closure.
so ,second,  if you write a test, put it into appropriate category.
It should not be in block closure tests!
